Well this summer has been the summer of CRAZY for me. Not only did I go to Ohio to pick up my oldest child from college because he graduated, but his friend moved in too. Mike lives in Massachusetts normally, but he got a job in Georgia and needed a place to stay. Our family joke is we got a two for one graduate deal. Our house is now filled with four boys, one girl, four dogs and one cat. After all of the graduation chaos went down, we came back home and decided to add on to our back porch. I know you think this sounds like a great summer project but keep in mind that all of June it rained. Then it got really hot really quickly. In between the rain showers and the heat we built the addition. Now I can say it looks pretty good, but when sweat was rolling in my eyes it did not look as great. Next came the crazy week in Myrtle Beach. I spent days packing and even got to take Tinkerbell, my yorkie, with me on vacation. Tinkerbell loves the beach, but when we got there we found out the the beach had a lot of rules. No dogs during the day, no skim boarding until 4, so we felt a little restricted by rules. Nonetheless, I found some great sharks teeth while on this adventure and it only rained one day. I spent my hours at the beach finding shark's teeth to add to my collection, while the rest of my family shade tanned. shade tanning- sitting under an umbrella all day After the beach, we returned home to project, after project, after project. However, I think the dogs are helping us decide which projects to complete. The other day Kevin had one of my shoes in his mouth and was happily bringing it to his owner, my oldest son. After that my oldest son, Nate, said, "Mom I think we need to put the shoes in a safer spot." We then had to create a dog proof shoe holder as the next project on the list. On the positive side I had to buy a new pair of shoes. I hope that we can finish the projects before school starts back!
I can't wait to hear about all of your crazy summer adventures. Happy Blogging! -Mrs. Konarski

This summer I spent most of my time at home but, I did have a lot of fun going to the Crawford W. Long Museum. I learn a lot about Georgia from all those years ago. The main thing the museum focused on was surgery and operations. I like seeing how technology evolved over the years.

This summer, like two weeks in, I snapped my arm in half. That, how do you say, altered the course of my summer quite a bit, but the cast was waterproof, so I could still swim. Later on, July 15, I went on a missions trip to Nicaragua. Regardless of the fact I had a cast on my arm.

This summer I have been volunteering at the Jefferson rec center where I am on the competition gymnastics team. I've been working with the little kids and they are so adorable! The last camp I did was with the preschoolers which meant they were anywhere from ages 3-6; they were a handful. Most of them would listen, but some would just run around and the whole floor then me or another one of the helpers would have to chase after them. They had a performance on the last day of camp they all did so good. One girl was to scared to perform, so she just stayed on the bleachers with her mom. I loved working with the kids though and I hope I can do it next summer too!

This summer I spent the entire time in Alaska. In Alaska I went to many places such as going to independence mine. When we were up in the mountains at independence mine there was so much to see. I learned a lot about it. Some of the other things I did was I went to the eagle river nature center to learn more about bears and how to be protective around them. Coincidentally on the way to the eagle river nature center we saw a black bear enjoying and afternoon snack. So as the summer passed I felt like it was never going to end, but then it got more fun. We started going swimming and going on hikes a lot. As the summer comes to an end we were trying to think of something fun we could do before we left. Then we went to the Zoo which was so awesome. There were so many animals that I had never seen. This summer has been a very eventful summer. I am glad I spent it in Alaska.

My summer was really fun. I visited my grandmother and grandfather who lives in Florida. We had a blast. Fortunately they lived near a beach, and of course we had to go there. My family and I also took a trip to Alabama to see my Aunt and Uncle. We just sat around and was lazy the whole time.

The first comment of mine had a typo. Where it said "giantess" it was supposed to day most haunted. Sorry

My summer was GREAT! I did a lot of things that was awesome such as, going up north up to see my family, tubing down Helen, and just grilling out some burgers and steaks. Though one thing I did this summer that really stuck out, was a cross country road trip around the U.S.A. in a RV. My sister Harley, my parents and I went to Wyoming, Montana, both North and South Dakota, Minnesota and more. The states were just overall breathtaking. It had almost every terrain you can possibly think of. Out of the places we went to such as Glacier National Park, Mall of America and many others, I would say that Yellowstone was by far my favorite. It had so many fun things you could do their. They had hiking trails that would go into the craters and up mountains. You could ride horses on the outskirts of the park which me and my family did. My horse was named Leo. It was possibly the slowest horse of the whole group but he was very well trained. We also went to Old faithful and watched the geyser burst off into the air while eating some ice cream. Other than those certain things there was stink pots, many more geysers such as the prismatic geyser basin, and animals!! Now even though we didn't see one bear, goat or moose, we did catch our eye on a lot of buffalo. They tasted so good when I got a buffalo burger in a hole in the wall restaurant. We also experienced wild donkeys that came up to our car, and were so close that we were able to pet them. Even though we were probably not supposed to feed them, I gave them some cheezits outside of our car, and they followed me all the way up to the door. It was such a blessing to see wild donkeys, buffalo and overall Yellowstone. I would never forget that fun adventure that I had with my family there.

I have had a great summer! I got to spend time at my grandmother’s farm! I learned a lot of new skills on the farm so that I can help more on the workdays there. I also got to run a Kubota rental tractor to landscape our yard. Earlier in the summer I went to FFA events. That was awesome. I have made more progress on the tractor. The engine is unstuck! For summer vacation me and my family went to Charleston, South Carolina. I hope you have had a great summer.

I had lots of fun during my summer vacation. I went to St. George Island with my cousin, and we rented bikes to ride around the island. When we were in the ocean, we came very close to a dolphin, he thought it was attacking us, but it was just swimming and got scared by seeing us. There is an ice cream shop there too, and we rode to it every day to get very good ice cream.

Where do I even begin!?! My summer was pretty jam packed, to say the least. It started off pretty uneventful but at the end of June I went to Lanier world with my friends. A few days later I went to Guadalajara in Mexico. We didn't really do anything there but after 3 days there we went to a small pueblo called Rayón. There I spent time with my family, went around town and hung out. After 2 weeks of being there my cousins had just gotten here and we had a family reunion and a party. Then, we went to another small pueblo in the middle of a mountain range called Tamasopo. There, there was a river with a rope swing. My family and I went jumping off of the rope many many times, but the water was really cold... needless to say it was fun. Then we went to Puerto Vallarta a beach of the coast of the Pacific Ocean. I went jet skiing with my cousin and we rode off a wave and went flying. A few days later at the pool like the Menso (idiot in Spanish) that I am, I was doing backflips and busted my head open on the corner of the step into the pool. 2 freaked out Aunts later, I got 3 stitches in my head. We headed back to Guadalajara once again, and we looked around. Afterwards, we went back to Rayón and I got food poisoning. A little lesson kids DON'T buy food off of the streets of Mexico. After that little adventure it sadly had to end. I was on my back to the U.S. I miss Mexico a little but I had fun. Now we're going to New Orleans to visit my half brother. Now, summer has come to an end, as a new school year awaits.

My summer included interesting events. To start, I left from school to head the beach with one of my friends. After the car ride that seemed like forever, we arrived at the condo. We had a blast and ate at many delicious restaurants. Ana and I had a blast and we were sad when we had to say goodbye to the ocean.

In the beginning of the summer I was mostly swimming with family and friends. I went to go see Wonder Woman in IMAX 3D and it was amazing! My cousins moved from Florida and I was super excited about that. Then towards the end of summer I went to Florida for two and a half weeks. I stayed at my uncles house and it was a blast. I went to the beach almost every day. Then we celebrated my uncles birthday and had a huge party, and we partied till 3:00 AM! We went at to dinner a lot as a family and had a great time. It was very sad to leave Florida, but I'm super excited for school to come back!

I had the best summer ever! My summer started very simple with things like chilling around the house and grilling out with friends. Then my family and me went to Panama City. It was amazing and it was so pretty because of the white sand and the clear water. Then we went camping with other parts of our family. Camping was really fun beacoyse I got to hangout with parts of my family I don't get to see a lot and we got to swim. For forth of July we did another cookout and grilled ribs and steaks with some family and we ended the night with some fireworks in banks county and a camping trip to Victoria Bryant. My summer doesnt sound like more than camping and grilling out but it was SO much more little things that made it awesome like spending time with family! The last thing that we did was go school shopping and even that was fun! I hope that everyone had a great summer like me!

My summer was actually pretty boring. I went to a few summer camps and had a few weeks alone while my sister was at camp. During the last few weeks my summer got really busy. My cousin stayed with us for two weeks and we went to Helen with some friends. After that i had several weeks of volleyball camp/practice for the upcoming year. To finish up my summer I split my head open and had to be taken to the ER for a possible concussion. I'm sad that summer is over but excited for the new year

This summer my family and I did various things but I enjoyed going to Panama City Beach the most. We left for Panama city on the Monday before the Fourth of July. When we arrived we checked into our hotel and then got something to eat for lunch. After we ate we headed down to the beach. The beach was absolutely packed and we could barely find a place to put our beach chairs. Once we got settled down my sister and I went in the ocean.

I went to Niagara Fall's, Canada over July 4th holiday. While we were in Canada we walked a lot around the falls. We ate at the Rain forest Cafe, where the restaurant would come alive every thirty minutes with animal sounds and thunder storms. After we ate we went to an arcade and played a lot of games. Towards dark we headed back to the falls to watch the lights that illuminated the falls in red, white, and blue. We also watched fireworks as the fall were illuminated.

My summer was great! I don't want it to end! I started off my summer by helping my gymnastics coaches with the younger kids gymnastics camps at the Jefferson Rec Department. I had a good time with all the cute little kids. Since I am on the competition team, it was funny to watch the little kids attempt to do the skills. I also had two separate weeks of gymnastics camp of my own. There, we tried front layouts, which was something new and fun!

The first week of June I started my Summer by going to Dsney World. It was my first time ever going. We spent a whole week there. This summer i also went to six flags with one of my friends. We rode almost all of the rides. Then I ended my summer by going to Myrtle Beach. Overall this summer is definitely one I will remember forever.

The last trip I took this summer was to Folly Beach South Carolina. This vacation started off as a visit to my Nina's house like no other. I stayed by myself there for four days, which was the longest time I stayed alone. Each night we drove to my great-grandmother and great-aunts house. While we were there we enjoyed a steady diet of monopoly and scrabble. The day my parents picked me up from my Nina's we made a beeline to the beach, which was conveniently located 5 hours away. During my time at the beach I learned how to surf. Comments are closed.
